Having trained as a fine artist at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, Lynn then went on to work as a scenic artist at the BBC, leaving after a few years to pursue a freelance career painting pictures to commission, murals and portraits.

She has continued to have an interest in decorative painting, murals, paint effects and painted furniture.
